The majority of foreign-funded companies operating in China have expressed their admiration for the country's favorable business environment and exhibited great confidence in the market, as per a recent survey. According to Wang Linjie, an official with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), 97 percent of the surveyed foreign firms stated their satisfaction with China's policies aimed at boosting foreign investment, which were implemented from the fourth quarter of last year onwards.

Foreign enterprises remain optimistic about the Chinese market's prospects due to ongoing improvements in the country's business environment, the strengthening of industry and supply chains, and the facilitation of cross-border trade, Wang added. Wang made these remarks during a press conference held on May 30.

In a report released on the same day by the CCPIT, it was revealed that foreign companies are confident about their growth in China, with over 90 percent of respondents anticipating either steady or increased returns on investment over the next five years. The survey also highlighted the strong desire of foreign firms to expand their business operations in China, with more than 70 percent of respondents indicating their intention to either further localize their industrial chains or maintain the current status quo.

The survey identified the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the cities of Chengdu and Chongqing in southwest China as the main destinations for foreign investment.
