On May 26, a centralized program signing ceremony was held in the Jiangsu Changzhou Economic Zone (CZEZ). Twenty-eight programs were signed with an investment of 17.1 billion RMB. Also at the ceremony, the program of Songjian Lake Smart Innovation Port was launched. Mayor Sheng Lei witnessed the signing and broke ground for the new program.

With a total investment of 2 billion RMB, the Songjian Lake Smart Innovation  Port has an area of 10 hectares. It is positioned to become a high-standard innovation park encompassing R&D design, manufacturing, technology transfer and other supporting facilities. The park aims to develop high-end and emerging industries with high yield and low levels of pollution.

After completion, the Port is expected to become an important base for advanced manufacturing sectors and foreign-funded companies.

Since the beginning of this year, the CZEZ has attracted investment via video forums and conferences, and pushed ahead a batch of major programs in key sectors, reaching a balance between epidemic control and economic development. From January to April, the CZEZ invested in projects worth of 630 million RMB.

Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Mayor Xu Huaqin, Secretary General Zhou Chengtao and several leaders from the CZEZ.
