On January 11, Changzhou Shine Science & Technology Co., Ltd went public on the Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE), with 834950 as its stock code. The IPO marks the 89th listed company in Changzhou. The company is the first to be listed on the BSE in 2023, and also the first in Jiangsu to appear on the A-share market. As of date, there are 163 companies listed on the BSE, including four from Changzhou, the number of which ranks second in the province.

CEO of Shine Science & Technology and municipal leaders, including Mayor Sheng Lei, attended the listing ceremony.

According to Huan Heng, deputy mayor of Changzhou, in the past year, the government continued to implement policies to double the number of corporate IPOs, making a series of achievements - seven companies went public and another seven enterprises passed the IPO approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. The volume of IPO and seasoned equity offering reached 27.5 billion yuan, while 411 companies were chosen as back-up ones to list on the GEM market.

Changzhou Shine Science & Technology, founded in 2001, is one of the earliest companies engaged in the research, development and production of automatic darkening welding helmets and powered air purifying respirators in China. In 2022, the company was designated by the Jiangsu provincial government as an SME supplying special, innovative and high-tech products.

After the IPO, the company plans to develop an R&D project with an annual output of 1.2 million welding helmets and 80,000 air purifying respirators.
