On May 18, the Changzhou government and Huatai Securities signed a strategic partnership agreement. Zhou Yi, CEO and director of the executive board of Huatai, Changzhou’s Party Chief Chen Jinhu and Mayor Sheng Lei attended the signing ceremony.

Party Chief Chen Jinhu expressed his appreciation towards Huatai for its longtime support to Changzhou’s development. From his perspective, on the one hand, Changzhou has a strong industrial basis. Currently, the city is carrying out the 532 Development Strategy to become an international star city of smart manufacturing, and also a pivotal hub in the Yangtze River Delta. As industry plays a major role in city development, Changzhou has developed ten advanced manufacturing clusters and eight high-growth industrial sectors. The government pays great attention to the role of the capital market in developing industries. It continues to implement policies to double the number of corporate IPOs, planning to nurture over 100 enterprises ready to get listed on the SME Board and over 100 back-up ones to list on the GEM. On the other hand, Huatai Securities ranks among the top tier of security companies in China. It has assisted eight companies in Changzhou to get listed, providing financial support to the smart manufacturing industries of Changzhou. It is his hope that Huatai Securities will continue to support the city’s industrial upgrade and innovation efforts. As Changzhou is developing the Inter-Lake Innovation Zone, there will be more opportunities for the two sides to achieve win-win cooperation.

According to Mayor Sheng, Huatai Securities can promote the integration between industries and the capital market, playing a better role in serving the real economy. The government departments will carry out the partnership agreement in all respects and come up with new mechanisms in cooperation with financial institutions, giving full support to the development of Huatai Securities in Changzhou, while entrepreneurs will grasp the opportunities presented by the partnership to make breakthroughs in their businesses.

CEO Zhou Yi said that Huatai Securities will provide wide-ranging financial services for Changzhou in terms of industry clustering, project cultivation and urban growth. The company will come up with more quality services to contribute its part to the development of Changzhou.

According to the agreement, the two sides will establish an equal and mutually-beneficial partnership to the goal of seeking common development.

At the ceremony, twelve enterprises signed business cooperation contracts with Huatai Securities. Also attending the event were municipal leaders Li Lin, Hang Yong, and Secretary General Zhou Chengtao.
