V. Domestic Trade

The local consumption remained stable. In 2015, the total retail sales of consumer goods grew to 199.05 billion RMB at the provincial average rate, 10.3%, down by 2.8% over 2014. Grouped by consumption patterns, retail sales for the wholesale, retail, catering and hotel businesses reached 24.01 billion, 158.57 billion, 14.99 billion and 1.48 billion RMB respectively, up by 9.4%, 10.1%, 14.2% and 4% respectively. Areawise, retail sales in urban areas grew by 10.6% to 186.11 billion RMB and those in rural areas increased by 5.7% to 12.94 billion RMB.
